There are plenty of forum posts re IDT sound issues with Windows 10 but no fixes that I can find. Various changes to configuration settings based on similar forum posts:-Ĭhange bit rate to e.g.Tempo drivers don’t work with Win 10, appear to be generic audio drivers. IDT web site no longer around, appears to be taken over by Tempo.Tried Dell website for win 7 and win 8 drivers for IDT high definition audio codec, but device drivers will not install with error that o/s system incompatible or hardware not compatible.Uninstalling and reinstalling audio devices (in Device Manager and using hardware change detect).Update Driver via Device Manger (using automatic search rather select from local system).Run troubleshooter – does not find any problems.So issue Is not hardware related.ĭrivers for speakers are currently shown as below (previously listed as IDT under Win 7):. ![]() Speakers still work if system booted to old Win & system (old o/s on another disk so can dual boot while get Windows 10 up and running). There is no sound from headphones under Windows 10 and a barely audible sound from the internal speakers. ![]() Sound previously worked perfectly for internal speakers and headphone/speaker jacks under Windows 7 (enterprise). Windows 10 has been installed as a fresh install on a Dell Precision M6500 (ie not an upgrade). Problem: After installing Windows 10, audio devices no longer work.
